The TIH Community

The TIH Community is an open and independent association of traffic and travel information publishers, receivers and users who share an interest in the efficient, economical exchange of travel information by using 'common approaches' set out in the TIH Principles. These organisations include strategic network operators such as the English Highways Agency, local highways authorities, the media, police, public transport operators, Strategic Traffic Generators and Information Services Providers.
TIH aims to facilitate the exchange of travel information to help organisations make better use of their resources and networks. To this end it has been important to draw as widely as possible on the experiences and views of the community.
The TIH Community consists of an Executive to direct development strategy, and a series of nine Working Groups to debate and develop TIH Principles.
